The Swedish School, Fuengirola
The Swedish School accepts students from kindergarten to upper-secondary and accommodates 210 pupils.
The Swedish School offers a Swedish curriculum for each level of education and although the academic year follows the Swedish one, they do take into account the Spanish holidays.
As the school is small, with classes of around 20 students, teachers have more time for each individual. The school is run as a parental cooperative and the decision-making channels are short.
Benalmadena International College
Situated in Nueva Torrequebrada, the Benalmadena International College accepts pupils from the age of 3-18. The school was founded in 1997 and is mostly attended by British pupils. An English curriculum is taught with IGCSEs, AS and A Levels. For those not wanting to do A Levels, the school has recently introduced vocational courses.
St Anthony’s College, Mijas-Costa
Situated on the Coin Road, 4km inland from Fuengirola, St Anthony’s College is a co-ed school which is officially recognised as bilingual, offering GCSEs at 16 and a range of A Levels at 18.
Established in 1968, St Anthony’s offers Spanish EGB, BUP and COU and enables the validation of British studies by the Spanish Ministry of Education, leading to Graduado en Educación Secundaria (GCSE equivalent) and Título de Bachiller Español (GCE equivalent).
Sunny View School
Located in Torremolinos, Sunny View School has over 450 pupils and is a co-ed day school. Teaching pupils aged from 3-18, Sunny View comprises a pre-school, primary and secondary school. The school offers a complete English National Curriculum, including GCSEs from ages 14-16 and A levels from 16-18.

The British College Benalmadena
Situated in the Torremuelle urbanisation, just 2km west of Benalmadena-Costa, the British college accepts students aged 5-18 and is a co-ed day school.
The British College is a 5 minute walk from Torremuelle train station on the Fuengirola - Malaga line, which is much used by the older pupils. In addition to its British and other European pupils, the school is well represented by Spanish pupils, who are given intensive English language tuition. Students do IGCSEs for ages 14-16, A/S Levels at 17, and A Levels at 18. A bilingual school for all ages. Spanish Language and Literature, and Spanish History and Geography, are taught in the Secondary school. The British College also has a Psychology department.
