A par 3, 9-hole course, Benalmadena Golf welcomes visitors every day and comprises a driving range with 48 tees, 24 covered, a putting green, a pitching green, a chipping green and a practice bunker. The season is year-round and the course is ideal for beginners or improvers who want to play golf without the pressures of a larger course. Benalmadena Golf is also perfect for experienced golfers who want to improve their short game. The course offers stunning views of the Mediterranean and water features. (€25 euros for 18 holes).
Torrequebrada Golf
This 18-hole course is open all year round. The landscape is very hilly with undulating water features to add to the fun. The fairways are quite narrow and precision shots are required. Enjoy beautiful sea views. This course is moderate to hard. Facilities include a putting green, a pitching green and a practice bunker. A valid handicap certificate is required from the player’s home club. Men: 27 and women: 35. (€95 for 18 holes).
Mijas Golf
Mijas Golf comprises two courses – (18-hole Los Lagos and 18-hole Los Olivos). The courses are open every day and all year round. Mijas courses are among the most popular on the Costa del Sol and the fairways are very challenging. The 13th hole of Los Lagos and the 14th at Los Olivos are the most difficult on the two courses. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, both courses are relatively flat with plenty of water hazards. A driving range and practice area are also available. (From €49.50 - €81.00 for 18 holes).
El Chaparral
Situated in Mijas-Costa, El Chaparral Golf Club has become one of the most well-known on the Costa del Sol. The Course is now run by the Aymerich Golf Management Company, which operates more than 25 courses throughout Spain.
El Chaparral Golf Course enjoys beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities and magnificent sea views. Natural landscapes of pine trees provide a stunning setting for golfers. The course consists of 18 holes and situated just 700 metres from the beach. Designed by Pepe Gancedo, the course consists of 6 par 5’s, 6 par 4’s and 6 par 3’s. The course, at 5,800m is not particularly long but offers a range of holes which vary in difficulty. A putting green, pitching green and practice bunker are also available. Handicap limit: men: 28 and ladies: 36. (From €50-€70 without buggy for 18 holes.
Calanova Golf
Situated behind the market/fairground at La Cala de Mijas, Calanova Golf lies between the sea and the Sierra de Mijas mountain range. The 18-hole course offer panoramic views of the countryside and the sea. The fairways are wide, although water features and elevated greens make this course quite challenging. The 11th hole requires an accurate shot over a deep ravine. (From €62-€82 buggy included).
